Primary osteoarthritis is not only “wear and tear” arthritis; it has multiple causes. Some OA causes can be addressed, while others are congenital or irreversible.

How is osteoarthritis treated?

– Exercise. – Intermittent hot and cold packs. – Physical, occupational, and exercise therapy. – Weight loss.

Weight control  

Osteoarthritis is linked to obesity, thus weight management may help prevent and treat it. Cutting down in overweight patients reduces anxiety and OA irritation.
